Short bio
Tatiana was born in military family in USA in 1979. For the last 20 years she lives in Europe, in Germany, Spain. She is a resident in Austria. At school, she became interested in art and history of the ancient world and connected her whole life with it. Tatiana was graduated with a degree in Engineering in 1986 in Germany and with Diploma as art historian in 1994 in Berlin. Her PhD Diploma is in Greek-Roman portraiture. In Berlin since 2010, she studied at a private school of painting and sculpture. Her interests among other things to revive classic sculptural tradition. In 2019 she graduated from university as archaeologist.
Statement.
I decided to translate ancient aesthetics into modern conditions. I have interest in portrait art. One of the areas of my creative activity is the use of classical designs in combination with new materials. For that case sculpture is the best thing. I got Venuses, cast from epoxy resin, painted with bright colors. I use the Romans of the Republican era as a basis for male portraits. Or dress my contemporaries in Roman and Greek clothes. Material abundance allows us to introduce unusual details into sculptural forms. My images are made up of grains, nuts, flowers, insects. My next step will be to use paper, fabric, earth and other constituent elements of our world as sculptural materials. At 2021 my main interest transfer to painting. Oil and acrylic give large opportunities for realistic images, made in studio. I am getting a lot around the world in archeological excavations, so it is a reason to put some impressions on the paper - there is a new interest is drawing. Few minutes and new world made with pencils and pastel is ready to show your view of beauty and sense. Lately my interest is in digital painting. I connect my pencil paintings in computer programs to create portraits of famous people and abstract geometric forms
