Short bio
Tatiana was born in military family. For the last 20 years she lives in Europe, in Germany and Spain. She is a resident in Austria now. At school, she became interested in art and history of the ancient world and connected her whole life with it. Tatiana was graduated with a degree in Engineering and with Diploma as art historian. Her PhD Diploma is in Greek-Roman portraiture. Her interests among other things are to revive classic scupltural tradition. In Berlin since 2010, she studied at a private school of painting and sculpture.

Statement.
By training I am an art historian and archaeologist. My doctoral dissertation was on Greco-Roman portraiture. So I have a long-standing interest in portrait art. In addition, while exploring the sculpture of Greece and Rome, I decided to try to translate ancient aesthetics into modern conditions. One of the areas of my creative activity is the use of classical designs in combination with new modern materials. I like to use the Romans of the Republican era as a basis for male portraits. Or dress my contemporaries in Roman and Greek clothes.
In today's world there are many materials that make the work of a sculptor easier. So, it is not necessary to use heavy plaster when you can use injection molded plastic. Therefore, now is the time for women in sculpture - so it seems to me. In addition, material abundance allows us to introduce unusual details into sculptural forms. So, I use natural things together with paints. My images are made up of grains, nuts, flowers, insects. My next step will be to use paper, fabric, earth and other constituent elements of our world as sculptural materials.
With regard to painting and drawing the artistic approach is based on a rejection of copying the real world in favor of pure abstraction. The task of art is to express inner spiritual experience rather than to depict external objects. One can seek to let color and form lead an independent existence; this makes it possible to directly influence the viewer's soul. Optical art, now afforded great opportunities by computer technology, seems to be enjoying renewed relevance. Moreover, on the centenary of the DADA movement, it seems logical to turn attention to this controversial source of inspiration.
At 2021 my main interest transfer to digital painting. As an engineer, I was captivated by the possibilities offered by computer software. The idea arose to create modernized versions of famous paintings and sculptures. I often reinterpret the allegorical meanings found in the works of Old Masters, combining the original with a fresh interpretation in a single image.
